Rihanna, Shakira to perform at FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup 2012

Rihanna and Shakira have been confirmed for this year's FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup tournament.

The artists will perform at this year's global football competition in Azerbaijan's capital city Baku this October.

Rihanna will perform during the tournament's quarter final match on October 5, while Shakira will take to the stage during the final on October 13.

Meanwhile, Shakira is currently working on the follow-up to 2010's Sale el Sol and is loving "the new dance thing", according to producer Afrojack.

Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty recently denied reports his daughter is suffering a breakdown and explained that the star is just recovering from "flu and exhaustion".
