Singing sensation, Shakira is being sued for $100 million hard US dollars by her ex-boyfriend who she dated for over 10 years. Woah!
The 35-year-old singers former flame, Antonio de la Ra claims in court papers that he was the brains behind her hit, Hips Don't Lie, and "inspired the song Waka Waka, which went onto become the anthem for the 2010 World Cup.
According to US Weekly, the suit that has caused a stir says: De la Ra spent more than six years building up the 'Shakira brand' into one of the most valuable pop-star brands in the entertainment industry.
The profits earned by the partnership in 2011 and 2012, and millions of dollars that it will earn in the future, were generated by the deals he conceptualized, originated, negotiated and executed.

Though Antonio continued to work with Shakira when they split after ten years together, she sent him packing in 2011.
Shakira who is now in a relationship with Spanish footballer, Gerard Pique, states in legal documents that she does not owe her success to her ex.
