Mum To Be Shakira 'Wants A Big Family'

The curvy Latin singer Shakira has revealed her hopes for a big family with boyfriend Gerrard Pique.

The Hips Dont Lie hit maker who is famous for her hip shaking dance moves, is expecting her first child with Barcelona FC player Gerard Pique and according to a source close to the star they cant wait to extend their brood.

A pal of the singer told US magazine Us Weekly They definitely want more than one together. Shakira is really looking forward to being a mother.

Shakira is clearly dedicated to being a mother and is taking her responsibilities really seriously, cancelled several work commitments shortly after revealing the news.

Shortly after discovering that she was expecting her baby, she released the following statement on her website:

"As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days,"

The star has said that she will continue to juggle work and motherhood once the baby arrives.
