Blake Shelton On Usher & Shakira On Joining The Voice: 'The Chemistry Is Definitely Different'

Blake Shelton says he's still getting used to working with new "The Voice" coaches Shakira and Usher - who will be taking over for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green for the show's upcoming fourth season.

And while the quality of the NBC reality singing competition hasn't changed - the country superstar admitted the vibe is a little different with two new superstars joining the fray.

"The chemistry is definitely different with Shakira and Usher replacing Christina and Cee Lo," Blake told Access Hollywood, during a trip to the set of his "Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas" NBC holiday special.

"But the show is still really good. It's still entertaining - it's just different personalities," he added.

As to whether Shakira and Usher can join the ranks of the show's winning coaches (Adam Levine won Season 1 with Javier Colon; followed by Blake in Season 2 with Jermaine Paul), Blake said both of the new coaches are taking the job seriously - albeit in very different manners.

"I tell ya, Shakira is not joking around about this! . She is serious and she wants to win this thing," Blake revealed. "I don't know if I've seen anybody as committed - out of the six of us that have done this now - as she is to winning this thing.

"And Usher, he just kind of plays the cool card and he's real laid back. He doesn't have to sell himself too much - I mean, the guy found Justin Bieber. That's kind of the coaching/mentor role, right there," Blake noted.

Season 3 of "The Voice" is currently airing on NBC.
